Leadership Training Institute (LTI)
September 19-21, 2008

Emtza Region USY is having its annual Leadership Training Institute (LTI) September 19-21, at B’nai Amoona, St. Louis.  The purpose of LTI is to provide leadership training for chapter and regional leaders. Many topics will be discussed that will help board members work together to make each chapter successful. LTI will also give USYers a chance to get to know their counterparts in other chapters in addition to the executive officers of Emtza Region.

USY Kinnus
November 27-30, 2008

USY Kinnus is coming!  Kinnus is the region’s largest annual convention where more than 400 USYers get together to celebrate Thanksgiving and Shabbat, in our own USY style. There will be projects benefiting communities, times for study and discussion, and extraordinary evening programs filled with lots of ruach. This year the convention will be in Denver, Colorado. This is the biggest and best event to attend.  You are guaranteed an awesome weekend!

International Convention
December 21-25, 2008

Over 1,000 Jewish teens from all over the continent will come together in Washington, DC for an incredible experience. The week is filled with the best of USY, ruach, Shabbat, reunions, learning, and making fantastic new friends. During the week we will also participate in social action activities, icebreakers, and we will elect the International USY Executive Board. This is the largest assembly of Conservative Jewish teens in the world.  This year's International Convention will be held in Boston, MA. Request an application for International Convention.

Winter Shabbaton
January 30- February 1, 2009
This convention is a chance for Emtza to get together to enjoy a Shabbat experience together. We will have many fun, exciting and educational programs going throughout weekend. This convention will be at Beth Shalom in Kansas City.

Kadima Kinnus
February 27- March 1, 2009

Over two hundred 8th graders will attend Lake Doniphan Conference Center and Retreat Center in Excelsior Springs, MO. This event is for upcoming USY'ers.

Spring Kallah
April 23-26, 2009
This is where the magic happens, where we will elect the future regional leaders of Emtza Region. In addition to elections, we will also participate in social action and Tikun Olam programs, study sessions, and a variety of evening programs. This conventions location has yet to be decided
